Art History & Pre-Med @ UCLA, Berkeley, Pepperdine

Hello! I am a senior deciding between UCLA, UC Berkeley, and Pepperdine for a major in Art History w/ a Pre-Med curriculum. I would appreciate feedback from anyone who has attended or is attending any of the 3 schools!

I am fairly new to art history. I have never taken a course but am very interested in the subject.

My Questions for each school:
-How difficult is pre-med with a non-science major?
-How are the professors for art history & pre-med? Do they teach or do the TAs?
-Any other tips/fun facts/comments!

Thank you!

I would strongly suggest that as long as the school is ok with it, take an art history class this summer at a CC.

Art history is interesting, but taking it as a major is totally different.

Premed as a non-science major isn’t more difficult. You’d be taking the same premed courses.

Professors for premed? Premed prereq courses aren’t “premed”…they’re just regular science courses that other STEM majors take.

UCLA and UCB offer a gazillion sections of premed prereqs. It would be impossible to comment on the qualify of profs since there are too many of them.

If you ended up not likely art history, what would you major in?
