can you believe this sold for $9000
my brother found it in NYC. He liked the frame. It sat around for a while and he realized that he had ‘something’. He had it certified by the Andy Warhol estate and it was sold at Christies auction today.

Not bad for a castoff and something for which he paid $0

Maybe the person who bought it had others just like it so it’s more valuable to him; like if you have nine identical ones on the wall together like in museums? Eight wouldn’t be as good.

I must call Christie’s about my Beanie Baby collection.

Too funny, I kept on clicking on the image thinking my laptop conked out on me!

I think it’s cool that it was sale #1965, given the subject matter.

I’d hang it next to my collection of Marilyn Monroe images, also by Andy Warhol (I wish)

Sue, I can’t make out the subject. Who is it?

Good for your brother!

it’s JFK. My brother didn’t even notice that for a while

I told him to change his withholding on his W-2 to help soften the tax impact next year when he reports the income.

Are you supposed to see a black square when you click on the link? What happened to the image?

I don’t see an image at all, just a description.
