Anywhere in the U.S. that has a similar program with this?

Thank you.
I recommend you look through the Art Renewal Center’s recommended atelier list:

I believe that Grand Central Atelier in New York has produced many top sculptors. The Florence Academy of Art remains the best school overall.
The Barcelona program is very good. My daughter (a painter) has a good friend who teaches there.
Thanks for the suggestion. It seems Grand Central doesn’t formally teach sculpting, not like European ateliers anyway. All their program seem to be focused on drawing and painting.
The one in Spain says their minimum age for the program is 16. I think Florence Academy in Italy is the same. Florence in U.S. workshop doesn’t do sculptures. Mine will be nearly 16 in Summer 2018, and I already asked if they can make an exception then. We will see.
I believe that the sculpture programs require a year or so of drawing before allowing students to do sculpture. My daughter was required to draw for a year before starting in the painting program when she was in Florence 11+ years ago. I recall that the same was true for the sculpture program.
You are researching in the right area however. My daughter took a few years looking all this up, starting around when she was 13. She initially planned on studying sculpture, but decided to become a painter instead. She did study the ecorche program on Saturdays while at the Florence Academy.
While my wife paints, she recalls that sculpting was more natural to her. She has to actively translate a 3d image into a 2d image where as she could just copy a 3d image into 3d medium… This seems to be why my daughter prefers sculpting. But it might change as her brain changes. To me both my wife and daughter are talented in both 2d and 3d.
Thanks again for sharing the information!
