I got waitlisted by the University of Chicago. I didn’t send in a music supplement before I submitted my application because I didn’t have have anything prepared, but now I do. Can I submit this as extra or is it too late? This would apply to all schools by the way if I get waitlisted by more schools.
If you’re an art major, you should submit the supplement. If you’re not an art major, your should not. By this, I mean that it is never too late to sell yourself off of the waitlist.
So many applicants were waitlisted for UChicago. If you are able to send in this art supplement, which has to be super, then this is the opportunity to stand out. Make sure to contact your regional admission officer to make sure they received it and will review it.
Not an expert here, but I sent a video link of one of my music performances (which was far better than the initial art supplement I sent in) to Princeton after I was deferred. It’s now 2 weeks before results come out (pretty sure they made most final decisions already, unfavorably in my case, lol) and YouTube analytics say they never watched it; I’m not really surprised. I don’t think it would do much good.
