Article Features Chicago '14er

Over on the Princeton forum, there has been a “Meet Your Classmates” thread highlighting press articles about future Princeton freshmen. I haven’t actually read any of them, but I am sure they are wildly accomplished.

This morning’s newspaper, however, had a fun article that turned out to focus partially on a woman who will be entering the University of Chicago this fall. She seems smart, funny, and as she puts it “cute but not modelific” . . . and a really good writer.

Enjoy, and check out her unlinkable-here-based-on-TOS blogs, one of which is referenced in the article, and that one points you to the other, more current one.

At the end, talking about being done with her project to follow Seventeen Magazine’s advice scrupulously, she says, “I’m looking forward to being a sloppy, left-wing bookstore-employee type again.” Perfect for the University of Chicago!

She was also featured recently on NPR:

The NPR piece did NOT mention she was heading to Chicago. I heard the piece when it aired and that would have definitely gotten my attention!
