<p>Saw it in the paper and it talks about spending on sports rather than academics.

<p>Quite frankly, this makes me reconsider my decision to apply to UO…</p>

<p>This definitely has an affect on my decision whether or not to attend. I was already accepted to UO, and I’m waiting for a response from the Clark Honors College. These priorities are the exact opposite of what I want from a university.</p>

<p>Well, I happen to agree that there is too much investment in sports at UO, but just to put it in perspective, I’m sure there are professors at dozens of a large state universities that could have written an editorial just like that one… and probably have!</p>
