Arts/Science or Engineering

is there any difference between the chance of being admitted if you select either of the two schools?

i am interested in physics…

i can’t decide between physics and engineering…

The schools look for different things; when it comes right down to it, I wouldn’t say either one is easier than the other to get into. Pratt is a bit more stats oriented while Trinity tends to look at the whole package, but that’s a simplification and generalization of the process. Trying to play the system doesn’t really gain you anything.

You might want to look at it this way though: the engineering school will be looking for specific reasons why you want to be an engineer and might look for ECs related to it; having those reasons/experiences would help you get into the engineering school.
If you don’t have that kind of focus, however, it wouldn’t really be a problem for Trinity, since they don’t expect you to necessarily have any specific academic focus yet.

And you can transfer between the schools if you want to, so don’t worry about that.

thanks ay…i know a lot of schools limit the mobility between the separate colleges. you helped me :)

You also don’t have to decide between Physics and Engineering - if you start in (or transfer to) Engineering, you can also get a double major or a minor in Physics. You do have to be an Engineer to get any kind of Engineering degree, but any kind of Engineer can get any kind of Trinity major or minor.
