As a transfer student, if we cannot attend orientation this month, when we will be able to register for fall classes?

If you cannot attend orientation, go to my.ucdavis.edu and it should say under 'My Classes' for Fall 2010 or sisweb.ucdavis.edu and look to see when your appointment time is (usually hidden somewhere in that page).

have you found your registration time? I'm in the same position as you and am having trouble figuring out when I need to register.

On SISweb it says:

"You have no Holds which prevent registration.
Your Academic Standing permits registration.
Your Student Status permits registration."

But when I click register to classes it says:

"You cannot register for this term at this time"

Is my registration date one of the dates listed here? <a href="http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/html/academic_calendar.html%5B/url%5D">http://registrar.ucdavis.edu/html/academic_calendar.html</a></p>

Under the Registration Menu, click 'Check Appointment Times'. If your appointment time for pass 1 has already passed, you can register for classes between 8AM and 8? PM on weekdays, or 10am-8?pm on weekends I believe.

Under "Check Appointment Times" it says:

"You have no Holds which prevent registration.
Your Academic Standing permits registration.
Your Student Status permits registration."

Emailed them and got this message today

"New student appointments have not been assigned as yet. If you are planning to go to Orientation, you will register then. Information will be provided there as to when your registration appointments will be. If you will not be attending Orientation, please check SISWeb again at the end of next week."

I have a pass I and a pass II appointment. I am confused by all of the passes. Give me back my semesters durnit!! JK. Seriously though, I am getting all nervous that there will be no classes left. Maybe I am haunted by CC experience?

I am also a recent transfer student, but a lot of my friends (and gf) go to Davis. I believe the Pass system is used to register for classes, with Pass I being your first attempt and Pass II being your second attempt into getting the schedule you want.

Sorry if this is obvious information. Just thought I'd throw it out there for people who were confused.

I would suggest formulating the next two years of your stay at UC Davis. Make a list of the classes you've taken and have to take. Then, put it in the academic planning worksheet (found here: <a href="http://www.ls.ucdavis.edu/students/forms/academicplanworksheet.pdf%5B/url%5D">www.ls.ucdavis.edu/students/forms/academicplanworksheet.pdf</a>), marking which classes do not require pre-req classes so they could be easily moved among the quarters. More often times than not, you will not get into the class you want the first time around, so having back-up classes may come in handy.
