ASAP!!question about acceptance Letter

hey when i received my official letter,

it says ‘for the remainder of the year, we know that you will maintain the same leve of academic performance which has resulted in your acceptance toCarnegie mellon. in our applicatoin materials, you will find a candidate mid-year high schoool grade report. ask your guidance counselor to complete and return this form to our o ffice after mid-year grades are reported in feb.’

do all the colleges do that?? cz my 1st semester senior grade is really bad.

or can be actually cancel my acceptance? I have 2 Cs I think.

Yes, all colleges expect your mid-term and end of year grades, and they can rescind your admission.

I wouldn’t be too worried though, but I don’t have any basis for saying that.

Yes, they can. Many colleges do this. If your grades are much lower than those you had on your application you will have to provide an explanation for your low grades which they may or may not accept. They will also want your final grades.

how did you get your acceptance letter?

It comes in the mail when they let you in. ED ones were received between 12/12 and 12/15, RD ones will come out whenever it is that they come out, March or April, I think.
