asian studies major

Do you think Law schools look down on asian studies major as an easy major? Or would they look at it as a unique major and maybe favor you in admissions? Or would they just not care? Just wondering because I’m thinking of majoring in asian studies

They won’t look down on it, especially if you take more than the minimal language coursework. It probably won’t give you an edge in admissions, where your GPA and LSAT score are main factors.

An Asian Studies major might provide some edge for internships in comparative or international law, though those specialties primarily are pursued in Master’s of Laws programs, e.g., [East Asian Legal Studies Center - University of Wisconsin Law School](http://www.law.wisc.edu/ealsc/) Nonetheless, I have a family member who lives and works in an Asian country, and currently he has 2-3 law student interns in his law office.

Just get a good GPA.

Thanks for the info guys!
