Yes, we do! It’s a senior class fund raising project, complete with catered dinner and a $500 scholarship for the winner. Instead of doing a group dance-type ting as the introduction, each contestant imitated a teacher for a few minutes… my school is really small, so the audience was familiar with all the quirks and it was the best part by far…

If you HAD to be in a beauty pageant, what would your talent be?

Yikes! Beauty pageant talents are really hard because it has to be something that can be done on stage (so no swimming or horseback riding or…racquetball, or whatever), something that is entertaining (so no spelling or French conjugations) and something that you look attractive doing (so no…bagpipes?! haha, I don’t know)

I guess I would play piano. I’m not good anymore but I was pretty good back in the day. That’s kind of cliche though.

WITHOUT LOOKING IT UP, who was recently crowned this year’s Miss America? (her state, not her name)

Haha I don’t even actually know…I’m pretty sure it was Miss Oklahoma but I know Miss Texas was the runner-up. And no, I’m pretty sure I can’t touch my nose with my tongue, although that would be quite the trick.

Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? If you have, did you like it?

On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being no action/no romance/no crushes and 10 being hot steamy craziness, where would you rate yourself in terms of your current situation?

I’m generally insecure about the fact that I can’t make friends with groups of girls (I am a girl, by the way). I have my one or two best friends that are girls, but most of my friends are guys because I think guys are just…so much more fun and easy. Since I swim, I do partake in the whole girly secret-telling pillowfight sleepover dance around together thing (well, sometimes), but I am insecure about the fact that I have a hard time being accepted by large exclusive groups of girls for some reason.

What is the best compliment you have ever received about something physical, and from who(m?)?
