Ask a question for the next person to answer...

graduating high school in 1 month!! then heading off to Boston College :)

Have you ever taken a pottery class? (I’m in one and it SUCKS haha)

nope. and i don’t think i will

what are you doing for summer?

College classes + working + attempting to get somebody to pay attention to my current writing project(s). I’m also going to do this one-on-one gradeless class with a professor I know… probably a great books course. It’s not for credit, but he’s been wanting to do something similar with me for a while.

What is your favorite thing about Princeton?

I don’t have a particular favorite thing about it, but I love the campus, and I can definitely picture myself there.

Have you read The Overachievers by Alexandra Robbins?

I read the first two chapters at the bookstore in Hyde Park, and then put it down because I could tell what the rest of it was going to be like. I got the picture. I didn’t find it particularly interesting, but the reality it addresses is undoubtedly awful. The dichotomy in American schools today must be rectified somehow.

Does anyone other than me hate driving? I find driving, especially in my area, to be a pain in the you-know-where.

Why is driving in Illinois unpleasant? The traffic?

When was the last time a tooth fell out?

When I was 12

Do you like cats or dogs better?

Canis lupus familiaris > Felis catus domesticus, although if you’re talking about BIG cats (genus Panthera), they win by a landslide in my book.

P.S. Does anyone other than me know that the famous cartoon cats “Felix” and “Sylvester” are actually puns of Linnaean names for cats: FELIS catus and Felis SILVESTRIS?

Now for the question: Which do you like better, taking a subway train, a commuter train, or a bus (if cars were banned for a week)?

The last time I was in any sort of train, I must’ve been five. And I’d rather not ride in a bus. It’d probably be hello-bicycle for me.

When are you the happiest? What makes you the happiest you can possibly be? Is it a person, an activity, something else?

I am the happiest when i am doing life.

What item/activity/person would you take with you if you were to escape from the world/society?

a mirror. obviously.

What is your most precious possession? Why?

Hmm, good question. I went on this church retreat one summer and everyone I knew (all the adults in my life, all my friends, all my teachers, everybody) wrote me letters telling me why they loved me/etc…it was about 100 letters and I always read them when I’m upset. So those, probably.

If you had to choose between:
a) no more computer ever (except for studying/research/HW)
b) no more phone ever
c) no more TV ever (including news and weather)
Which would you choose and why?

definitely no more TV ever because you can use the computer for TV (downloading shows, youtube and Joost) and news/weather and you can even use a computer as a phone (skype, AIM), but a computer can’t replace a cellphone.

Do you want an iphone?

No, unless they make one with independent or Verizon service.

If you were ** Helmuth Johann Ludwig von Moltke the Younger **, would you have opted for a two-front war between both France AND the Russian Empire?

(If you say “I don’t know” or demonstrate that you do not know the person whose name is emboldened, TWENTY points will be deducted from your house. That especially goes for Gryffindor.)

Sure :)

Which name is better: Aiden or Ethan?

Your answer doesn’t count, because you did not demonstrate your knowledge of the historical figure. You fail your AP European History Exam AND you lose the House Cup.

Bummer.

P.S. Ethan, by a longshot.

Q: If you lost the House Cup because of a stupid mistake, would you cry?

No, I wouldn’t cry.

And I know the question’s already been answered, but if I were Helmuth Johann Ludwig von Moltke the Younger, I would probably change my name before even contemplating any wars. That is probably why God did not make me Helmuth blahblah etc blahdyblahblah.

Library or bookstore?

Ah, no one has any appreciation for the glorious military history of the Deutsches Kaiserreich anymore. I guess I should sell my Prussian helm on eBay.

A: Bookstore, so I can have overpriced coffee and laugh at the books on the New York Times Best Seller’s ™ list.

Q: If your massive contracting company was commissioned to repaint the Golden Gate Bridge, what color(s) would you paint it?

Hahaha I love the House Cup talk.
And the Aidan/Ethan question is weird because I know twins named Aidan and Ethan!! (uhhhhh)

I would probably paint the Golden Gate Bridge some dazzling shade of yellow, but not neon, more sunshiny…or perhaps a nice seafoam green or aquamarine.

What is your favorite pairing of colors? (i.e. orange/blue, pink/black, whatever)

The Golden Gate Bridge should be painted with GOLD from Fort Knox. After all, we don’t use a gold standard, so for what, exactly, do we need all that gold (jk). Besides, gold is pretty inert as metals go, and it would prevent the Golden Gate Bridge from corroding. It would also fulfill its namesake, and it would be the biggest piece of “Bling” on the planet.

Pros:
-No one would ever doubt the rising property values in San Francisco.
-Suicide jumpers would be replaced by “gold-diggers”.
-The Bay Bridge would look even more ugly.
-Pirates would try to bury it, but would be caught in the process.
-It would be perfect for “pimp” car scenes in hip-hop music videos.
-It would be the terminus of the biggest rainbow ever.

Cons:

 • Carmen Sandiego would try to steal it…again.
 • Magneto would STILL be able to use his electromagnetic manipulative force to lift it off its foundation.
 • The gold would blind countless commuters…not that they’re paying attention anyway.
 • God would strike you down because you 1up’ed Heaven.
 • Fort Knox would go out of business, reducing the name of the locale to just “Knox”. Its a hard-knox life.
