The dorm beds are XL TWIN- nothing has changed. If you buy XL TWIN sheets, they fit. If someone complained that the sheets didn’t fit, it’s because they did not buy the right size sheets.

Hey I asked this before on the writ 340 thread but I figured I should ask here as well.

Have any of you taken 340 yet? I have choice between writ 340 business and writ 340 for visual and performing arts with feagin! I heard writ 340 for business was really easy and now all the slots are taken. Writ 340 for visual and performing arts needs d-clearance but i heard good things about feagin…

Can anybody give me some input? I REALLY suck at writing so I want the most painfree class T_T

Thanks. Good idea to wash them before packing.
Speaking of washing…is there a charge to use the w/d???

Pookoz

At Parkside, it costs $1.00 to wash and $0.50 to dry.

Same with all of the USC housing washer/dryers. You use a special laundry card that you put money on. You need a debit or credit card to put money onto that laundry card.

Thank you! I was hoping USC was like a couple other colleges we looked at…free. So this is a separate card from your lunch card??

Back in 2006, S had a separate card for his laundry at Pardee. This year at Webb, D can use her USC card to do laundry & purchase campus food. Not positive if all dorms have converted so you can use your USC card for everything now or not.

Unfortunately, no, laundry is not free, but nice thought. There are laundry services that cost even more. My kids are washing their own.

laundry services? do they also have room cleaning services?

At Radison, they DO require you to have room cleaning service so they can check on the condition of your place. It is included in the cost of your room. Some folks swear by the laundry service but our kids have never been tempted.

Is there optional room cleaning service at dorms? Just curious…

Nope, not in the dorms. You can borrow a vacuum cleaner from the main desk, however!

Is it difficult for transfer students from out of state to get assimilated?

I mean, it won’t be hard for me to make friends, but I was just wondering if USC has programs or anything to help transfer students get accustomed to everything.

Sorry to post this topic on this forum, but since nobody is responding to my older post. Does anybody how difficult is it to get admitted to the TAP as a continuing USC student? If i get a 3.2 GPA at USC will i get admitted?

I was wondering if anyone on this forum knows anything about the masters program for accounting

is it a 4 year program or 5 year program? And how hard is it to do?

Would this be too hectic? Going pre-med, joining a frat, playing club sport, and doing work study? I do not have very good time management skills, but I will try to work on them.

It is possible, but you will really need to work on those time management skills. Try to find a work study job where you can study. Library jobs usually involve that. Make sure that you don’t start skipping class- that is where people really get in trouble. Keep a calendar, and know what you need to get done each week. Make sure to do it all.

Don’t forget you have labs as well.

I would suggest to take it easy the first semester at USC to see how you handle these things before you take on a lot of them.

Could anyone compile a list of good/ outstanding (as well as not so good) USC professors teaching GE courses? I really need this information because I am registering for classes soon. Thanks!

Also, can anyone please tell me what USC GE classes should be avoided (i.e. bad prof, course material too dense, etc.)? Thank you.
