why is radiohead the best band of the 21st century?

They’re not.

why is radiohead the best band of the 21st century?

They’re not.

Do you know that Huckabee and Obama won?

… then who is?

If you say Tegan and Sara I will cry.

Do you know that Huckabee and Obama won?

Yessss. Oh well. Better Huckabee than ROMNEY. Ugh.

… then who is?

“Tegan and Sara.”

Har-de-har-har.

Now, seriously… what is the greatest band of the 21st century?

Will you see El Orfanato?

Will you ask the nearest person to hold your hand during the scary parts?

what is the greatest band of the 21st century?

Tegan and Sara. This is my opinion. I love them, I know all of their songs, I’ve seen them in concert. I have wonderful memories attached to Tegan & Sara songs. They make me happy.

Will you see El Orfanato?

Possiblyyy. I’m so bad with scary movies, though.

Will you ask the nearest person to hold your hand during the scary parts?

Yes! If the nearest person is hot and has nice, clean hands.

Noooo, but I didn’t ask you what YOUR favorite band is. I asked you what the greatest band of the 21st century is. The two are completely distinct.
Tegan and Sara might make you happy, but there are many other more talented bands around today.

My favorite band right now is the National, but I know that they’re not the greatest band of the 21st century. See? There’s a difference.

See?

No. You’re asking about a subjective matter. There is no way to objectively measure the greatest band of the 21st century. Therefore it comes down to my opinion. And my opinion has not changed in the last 4 minutes.

Are we getting snippety?

Can you tell me the xoxoxo story?

Do you fit into any of the types?

I’m asking you to answer my question somewhat objectively.

What group has the greatest lyrics? (Bah, subjective).
What group has written extremely innovative pieces of music? (Bah, subjective again).
What group has musicians with the most technical skill? (Subjective).
What group has musicians that have the most PASSION? (Okay… subjective).

So, basically, I’m asking you to do the impossible and be objectively subjective. Paradoxes are excellent. Now get to it.

^ Dude, The National are awesome. I particularly like the song “Racing Like A Pro”.

NYC artists for the win.

In terms of sound, did Modest Mouse sell-out?

Are we getting snippety?

Yes. But only by the same standards you follow. (: I’m glad that’s inside.

Can you tell me the xoxoxo story?

Yes! Haha, okay, here we go…

The Xoxo Story

So this summer I worked at a restaurant as a waitress. And every waiter/waitress had their own way of signing bills at the end of the customer’s meal. Kind of our only way to show our personality. Most people just circled the total in a colorful pen and wrote “Thanks!”

But not me. I drew a quick heart around the total, and underneath as a “Sincerely,” type thing (I forget the term) I did “xoxo, ******(my name)”

Some people LOVED it and made a big deal and left me a huge tip and said I was a “sweetheart.” However…others misinterpreted my quick little “thank you” for something more…

BAD experience: This *****y redheaded lady was out to dinner with her drunkish husband and two kids. They were pretty rude the whole time, but I sign all of my checks the same, so I didn’t even think about it. They leave before I see them, and I go to their table to pick up the bill. It isn’t there.

Then my manager comes up to me and points to a note written next to my little signature thingy, and it says “A little too personal of a touch, hon.”

My manager was like “Did you touch your customer in an inappropriate way?” and I was like “What?! No!” and then we figured out that she meant that my signature was “too personal.” She was a *****y jealous wife who thought I was flirting with her husband. Uh…he wishes.

FUNNY experience: So I had this table of three college aged guys. They were really pleasant and they ordered separate checks, so I did my signature on all three of their’s. Two of them paid in cash, and one paid with a credit card. And on his receipt that he had to sign, he drew a big heart over the total and left his number. Baha. I didn’t take it or call him, but it was still funny.

But after the bad experience, I ditched the “xoxo.” Ugh.

Do you fit into any of the types?

What types? Explain yourself.

where did Ron PAul come in the iowa caucus?

What group has the greatest lyrics? (Bah, subjective).

The Shins.

What group has written extremely innovative pieces of music? (Bah, subjective again).

Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

What group has musicians with the most technical skill? (Subjective).

That one is actually really difficult for me to answer. I need some “lessons.”

What group has musicians that have the most PASSION? (Okay… subjective).

Tegan and Sara.

So, basically, I’m asking you to do the impossible and be objectively subjective. Paradoxes are excellent. Now get to it.

There.

In terms of sound, did Modest Mouse sell-out?

Ehh. No, I won’t say that.

where did Ron PAul come in the iowa caucus?

I actually don’t know. But I have a friend who is Ron Paul-crazy. You two should hang out.

Does that remind me of something that happened to one of my friends?

Is it much less interesting?

Do you get major brownie points?

Does that remind me of something that happened to one of my friends?

It’s far too random and personal, so no. Haha.

Is it much less interesting?

Yes.

Do you get major brownie points?

I’ve already received your quota of brownie points for the year. I’m not sure you have any more to give me…

(: Hahaha.

Should you not count your bwonie (I meant to write “brownie” and I have no idea how that happened. But I left it for your reading pleasure.) points before they’ve hatched?
