Ask Ms Sun

I got rejected from UCLA and that is the only university I really want to attend (I can stay at home). This Ask Ms Sun has a service to help you appeal, but costs 200 dollars. While my mom can’t afford this I have some saved up money that I was going to use for a new bike, what are your thoughts on Ms Sun? Is it worth it? I’ve already written most of the appeal, but I really want to make sure I get into UCLA.

Thank you

Successfully appealing a rejection almost never works unless there is some legitimate mistake in the application process, like the school mixed your transcript up with someone else’s transcript.

The Ask Ms. Sun service from what I can tell from the web site is merely a hand-holding service that helps confused or nervous applicants with the often complicated process of applying (and appealing if they are determined to do that) to California public universities. I’m not saying there isn’t a need for such a support service, but it doesn’t offer any inside track, special advantage or guarantee on getting into a school. It certainly does not offer any advantage when tackling the process of appealing a rejection. It will not make sure you get into UCLA
