assist.org clarification please

I just want to ensure that I correctly follow the assist.org requirements.

ASSIST Report: MESA 09-10 UCSD Articulation Agreement by Major

My cc counselor said that I must complete every class listed on the above link. That conflicts with what I thought by reading it. For example, it says, "One introduction to computer programming course" and yet the counselor said to complete Fluency of Information Technology, Java, and C/C++ Programming. Please help me with this discepancy.

If I follow her advice, I will have completed over 80 units. but I know only 60 are required to transfer as a junior.

ahhhh assist.org.... memories

just do whatever it says :)

LOL, am I even reading it correctly though? I tend to doubt myself occassionallly. I was so certain and pointed it out to the counselor, and she still said must complet everything. Money grubbers.

When it says three, then just pick three...if it says xxx & xxx then you need to take both.

When in doubt, look at the department website and see the requirements.
UCSD Psychology | Undergraduate Program | Degree Programs | B.A. Program

It says

3. Computer Programming
One quarter of computer programming:

CSE 3, 5A, 8A, 8B, 11, 12, MAE 5, 9, 10, or CogSci 18 (CogSci 3 will not count)

So you only need the equivalent to one of the above. So take one of CISC 182 or CISC 190 or CISC 192. Your counselor is wrong.

Wow, why are cc counselors often so incorrect with their information?

Some times you gotta dig up the info on your own. Don't just take the counselors word.
