Astrophysics as second undergraduate degree

Hello Guys,

I discovered who I am only after the completion my postgraduate degree. I have penchant towards astrophysics and astronomy. I am 27 years now, and I am thinking of studying Astrophysics/Astronomy. I am exploring my options now.

My aim is to start my course on 2018 batch.I am researching on this topic, and I would like to know few things on this.

Am i allowed to study undergraduate astrophysics/astronomy in any good universities/US? (since I have a post graduation)

If I am allowed what are the eligibility criteria? Do I have to write any exams like International baccalaureate or A level exams to secure good scores?(Apart from SAT or ACT)

Do I have any chance of getting partial or full scholarship for my study?

If the scholarships are not available, is it possible to take up a loan?

Is it possible to get a part time job to afford my living expenses?

Please do tell me what are the measures I need to take upon. I am so much passionate about studying astrophysics, and I would like to make my dream come reality. Thanks a lot in advance and I look forward to receive your valuable response.

Given that you have a post-graduate degree already, there should be no need for you to complete a whole new bachelor’s degree. You will likely need some post-baccalaureate studies to prepare you, but you should then be able to gain admission to a graduate-level astrophysics program.

Find some programs of interest to you and consult with them about what undergraduate coursework you would need to complete in order to be an eligible candidate. It is likely that you can complete the supplemental coursework in one to two years instead of the four needed for a full second degree.
