So i have a 22 ACT and my writing is not so good. Although i do have a 4.1 GPA and have kept straight A’s. I am an incoming senior from New Mexico. I have been in advanced choir and 4 years of theatre. I am the battalion commander for jrotc and have won many awards for academic as well as physical performance. I am in national honor society and international thespian society as well as robotics club. I will have completed 4 AP classes by the time I graduate. I will retake my ACT. What are my chances of being accepted?
Is 4.1 your unweighted or weighted?
My brother applied for Barrett after his first semester at ASU, he had a 4.0 college GPA but what held him back was his high school GPA. He’ll be starting at Barrett next spring.
I think you have a very strong chance if you get your ACT to at least a 30. Also, you need to be a skilled writer and make a very compelling argument; writing is a very important component to Barrett (you’ll be taking extra writing classes there if you’re accepted). Remember, even if you don’t make it into Barrett immediately, you can always transfer in there. I really do think you have a chance, though.
Good luck!
