Asu & mlk

Stumbled over here as we were giving on last look to schools that give substantial scholarships to National Merit and National Achievement Finalist. ASU makes that list and provides a free trip to visit. However, it seems as though the reputation of the institution might make it a bit of a risk for future respect and graduate school admission. Are we reading this right or not? We are open to opinions on this.

In addition, without question we would want to see how the University handles the fraternity and students involved in the horrid MLK Jr. ‘celebration’ before taking even the free visit. Yes, things happen everywhere and clearly those students do not represent all of ASU; but it was an awful event and I’d like to see what the administration does.

Finally, is Barrett a different demographic of student, in general?
