<p>In response to the OP, Asus is better than Acer. Asus laptops also come standard with a 2 year warranty and 1 year accidental coverage which is a pretty good perk</p>

Acer seems to be more value-priced oriented.</p>

<p>Asus is better. They have many $800 laptops with the new Core i5, good graphics, and good build. And they come with a 1 yr accidental damage warranty. They have netbooks, mainstream, thin-and-light, and gaming laptops. They have all these different technologies.</p>

<p>Acer only has consumer mainstream laptops and netbooks.</p>
