At a crossroad...Any advice?

So I have just been accepted in to UMD as an Economics undergraduate. I applied for the Accounting program but unfortunately was not accepted. I applied as a transfer as I will be graduating from Montgomery College in May with my Associates in General Studies.

Basically I am crossroads on whether to go to UMD and major in Econ or go to University of Maryland University College(UMUC) and major in Accounting.

Although I do enjoy Accounting a bit more then economics, I am a bit worried that UMUC’s name doesn’t hold the same weight as UMD. My main concern is my marketability in the work force.

Any advice? Any is appreciated. Thanks

Now this is a hard one. Both degrees can lead to a good job. Dh graduated from UMUC and it has done nothing to keep him from getting a better positon and pay. I graduated from UMCP with a business degree but I have not done well. I would choose the major and college based on what you want to do once you are done.
