My kids’ school doesn’t publish rank, but the GCs do know the approximate rank. My understanding is that the GCs don’t fill out that common app section you reference above, but will tell an AO the approximate rank if they ask.
The HS profile used to only have a median weighted GPA for the class, but now it shows a weighted mid 50%ile range.
