At the corner station, gas is...

… $4.39 a gallon today, up from $4.09 last week!

What’s it like in your neighborhood?

$3.87. I hate it.

3.99 for regular at the corner station. You can shop for .10 less

$4.19. It stinks.

$4.19 is the cheapest I’ve seen too - but the police had it cordoned off this morning. (It’s a favorite of the Hispanic landscapers, I suspect they were looking for illegal immigrants.)

$3.97 for Regular
No Self Serve available in our town

I paid $4.27 for premium at Costco today.

We found $3.95 in Arlington County.

Here’s the snapshot from Gas Buddy in our area:

Today 3.869
Yesterday 3.867
One Week Ago 3.845
One Month Ago 3.477
One Year Ago 2.923

Oh for the good old days of sub $3 gas; but I recall how painful that seemed a year ago. Perhaps a year from now we will be longing for the good old days of $4 gas.

Costco off Hwy 9 in Woodinville, WA, oops, in the Town of Grace, WA (actually, it is in unincorporated Snohomish County with the lowest sales tax in my area - only 7.6% : $4.09 yesterday

I was doing a major cleaning in the laundry room the other day, even moved the washer and dryer to get out the dust bunnies, and found an old reciept: $1.68/gallon! D told me to save it so she could tell her children how cheap the gas used to be!

$4.07 in the suburban Syracuse area

And did I just hear on NPR that the cost of oil per barrel went up more than $10 this week, to $137? Or was that $127? Either way, I suppose, we’re screwed.

H said it closed at $139 up from $129 last week. $150/barrel by July 4th. Only $11 to go.

$3.95 in Massachusetts (burbs)

4.69 premium socal. Joke.

At the corner station regular unleaded $4.69. They were changing it as I drove by this morning. I rolled down my window and told the owner “don’t do it!”. He laughed.
Central California.

$4.29 today, was $4.09 on Tuesday, sigh.

$3.85

What gets me is that we used to live in Louisiana where you see oil wells in folks’ front yards. Just rocker-arms in a 10x10 or so fence - no mess, no noise. Why aren’t we drilling in the Alaska wilderness? Do we think the moose will be offended by the sight of the things? Arrrgggghhhh.

I asked a colleague of mine in the UK what the price was - he said it was roughly $9-$10/gallon - largely taxes. I told him how much we Americans were whining once it hit $3-$4 per gallon. He thought it was funny.

If politicains( Republicans and democrat) keep helping thier buddies at big corporations, it will be $5-$6 on July 4th weekends. These people finanace their election campaigns and in return they help make them rich.

$4.33 up from $4.22 Monday. Shoulda got a half tank on Tues…
