Wow, so your parents wouldn’t let you go for a run in your own neighborhood? That seems a little extreme.
this all made me think of the years i spent working for a conservation agency . The conservationists/naturalists/environmentalists are worried about the next generation not caring or being interested in conservation of our natural world. It’s not because kids are inside more with video and electronics; but rather that their parents have fear to let their kids outside. I’m a parent; of course i’m not judging that fear. But it is having an affect on conservation attitudes.
