athletcs in the army, navy, etc.

I am interested in applying to the us service schools but my hs after school athletics are really lacking. I am athletic in the sense that I can do the 2 mile and the wanted pushup and situps, but hs sports are not my thing. I did three years of winter track and 2 years of volunteer swim. Is that enough?

Wait you have to be in sports to go to a service school?

Take a look at the USMA site:
http://admissions.usma.edu/overview.cfm

If you lettered the three years of winter track should be enough. I only did one year of varsity cross-country before graduating HS and that was enough to get into AF. They (used to) use a complex formula which takes into account all your activities (school clubs, outside clubs, etc). More activities get you a higher weighting. Not sure if it’s still used.
