<p>The Athletic Director of a school I’m interested in is a close friend of the family. Should I ask him to write a recommendation for me? I am not looking to play sports at this school (except maybe intramural) but would it still help?</p>
<p>It depends on the school, but having a top administrator put in a good word for you at most schools (esp. privates) certainly cannot hurt. Good luck.</p>
