Athletic Facility

<p>When I visited Villanova about a year and a half ago, I did not notice any workout facility for the general student body. I am just wondering whether one actually does exist.</p>

<p>I have also heard that a new one is being built and should be done before the beginning of next school year. Is this true?</p>

<p>yeah see i thought those were for the student athletes, like who play an actual sport for villanova</p>

<p>i was doing a little bit more detailed search and saw something about a new center called the Davis Center that would be for students…</p>

<p>does anyone care to elaborate or correct my previous statements</p>

<p>theres a new recreation facility on campus that just opened this november. Its state of the art with brand new work out equipment, a basketball court, exercise rooms, lockers, etc. Its pretty spectacular</p>

<p>About the Davis Center:

Villanova University officially cut the ribbon on its newest structure, the $18.5 million Davis Center for Athletics and Fitness, on Nov. 8, and opened the doors to a unique, state-of-the-art facility designed for both the men’s and women’s basketball programs and** for all students, staff and faculty.** Highlighting the opening event was a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house. In addition, the official name of the building was unveiled for the first time, honoring the generous contributions of brothers James and William Davis and their families. Jim Davis is a 1981 graduate of Villanova, while Bill Davis is a member of the class of '85.
