I received an athletic scholarship from Robert Morris University for Division 1 soccer. The cost to attend is roughly $40,500 and my scholarship is $32,000. Would I also be able to fill out and receive money from FAFSA as well?
Receiving an athletic scholarship does not disqualify you from aid that is awarded through the FAFSA process.
You can accept the federal aid of a Pell grant, and SEOG, and take loans up to the COA. If the school issues its own need-based aid off the FAFSA information, you cannot accept that. If you meet certain criteria and the school allows it, you could accept merit aid.
