Athletics and the CommonApp - help please!

<p>So I’m a junior in contact with several D1 schools, some of whom have recently told me it would be best that I ask my teachers for recs now before the school year ends. I have done so, and my teachers said they would be happy to write recs for me; they told me to just provide a template for them. </p>

<p>The thing is, I’m not so sure that the teachers I’ve asked are that familiar with the CommonApp.</p>

<p>I went on the CommonApp website and signed up. I tried adding schools, but every time I try to do so it tells me that the deadline for apps has already passed. </p>

<p>I tried downloading the teachers’ rec form off of the website, but the forms are for Spring or Fall of 2011 enrollment (I’m still a junior).</p>

<p>So…a little bit of help (sorry - I’m just lost here).</p>

<p>The fall application won’t be available until July 1st. Hang in there! Your teachers will know whether they submit electronically or by snail mail. You could still send them a brag sheet and reminders about wonderful things you did while a student in their classes, and they could write a draft, but the form won’t be available for another month.</p>
