Atria and why I just love her...

Atria is humble and generous and supportive. She likes great books and music. If I had a daughter I would want her to exhibit some of the qualities I observe in Atria. She doesn’t brag or talk about her amazing recommendations and how much everyone loved her in her interviews like so many do --as though that isn’t the norm. I read some of the posts by some of the applicants and want to stab myself in the head with a fork. I have read a lot of posts from arrogant/egomaniacal/uninformed/lazy 15 year olds and I feel like Atria is just a totally different person–an old soul. Middlesex is lucky to be getting you!

I’m so happy for you Atria! My dad goes on this website every once and a while, and the other day he literally said “who’s that mom of the BS forums who kinda leads everyone… Octria?” and I was like “IT’S ATRIA SHES THE BEST”!! I can’t believe how patient Atria is with some of the more “incompetent” people who post on these threads… not to be mean, but I would’ve gone nuts. She’s helpful, considerate, and always optimistic! You really are the best! I hope you have a great experience at MX! I can’t believe that we might be going to the same school!!

I have been very impressed as well. MX would be very lucky to have her.

Brava Atria & thanks from us gals for your posts & feedback! Let us know how you like MX!!

Yes @Atria you are so kind! <3 Thank you for making the forums brighter with your cheerful, encouraging and sweet words. We all love you on CC, & hopefully I’ll meet you at MX.

Add me to the list of fans. @Atria reminds me of another one of my favorites, @stargirl3 , and it is not lost on me that both were rejected by their dream schools on their first try. Maybe they were always awesome and the schools grossly misjudged them… or maybe the rejection they experienced gave them the opportunity to show grit, perseverance, compassion and humility and they have become even better persons because of it. I wouldn’t wish rejection on anyone (ouch!) but sometimes great things are birthed from painful and uncomfortable experiences.

My goodness! I just barely manged to come back from a family reunion with my limbs and sanity intact and I log on to see this! This is so sweet! Thank you @Center! I am flattered beyond belief! (even if I don’t get why you say I didn’t brag on my stats and ec’s post ;)… Here I thought I had let myself go on that one)

Thanks @nico.campbell, @SculptorDad, @Golfgr8 , @lusitari , and @CaliMex ! You guys are making my ears burn and my face resembles a tomato now  .

Thank you!

Another fan here…not only is she a leader here amongst her peers, but also with the parents!

You deserve that admittance to MX and we are ALL so happy for you! >:D<

PS Maybe you should show this to AtriaMum! :x What a nice daughter she has!

Thank you @sunnyschool! Crossing my fingers and sending positive thoughts to you and your family!
I did show it to her! She just rolled her eyes :-/ …

Reading through CC, I thought @Atria was a Mom leader.

Atria, I too noticed how before you got your acceptance that you were still humble, graceful and upbeat. I admired how you still tried to keep everyone cheerful despite having not received good news yourself. I was just as happy for you to finally get an acceptance as I remembered being for my own child.

=))
Though I feel I must confess: I regularly raid AtriaMum’s closet…

@queenmother
Thank you…You are too kind :">
