I’m interested in completing some of my major courses at another college and compared the courses by looking at Assist. The courses are different compared to my primary college. For example, calculus at my primary college is called short calculus at the other college. I want to know if I take a major course at another college, will the course count towards my major prerequisite.

Only the colleges can tell you that. Usually what you do is show the admissions office at the school where you want to transfer the credit the course description from the other school and they can tell you how/if it will transfer. If the school are in the same general area, usually the admissions people will be very familiar with the other college’s courses. Do NOT assume that a course will transfer or try to guess yourself. You can certainly take classes at another college, just check first! Also note that most colleges have a minimum number of credits that have to be taken at their college in order to obtain a degree from that college. That usually is not a problem if you are just taking a few course at another school.
