Attending Princeton Model Congress...

<p>I’m an International Student from Korea and I am planning to apply ED Princeton. I’m a Junior now, taking APs, preparing SATs and all that.
I’m going to attend as a delegate in the upcoming 24th Annual PMC. There are multiple reasons why I decided to participate as a delegate in PMC, but I was just wondering if this could also help you get into Princeton? I don’t know…I wrote my bill weeks ago, and I’m just waiting for my departure day to come. I spent some of money (it costs more than 1500 bucks just for the plane ticket!! let alone all the other costs) and time for this and I want to ask if it is really worth it. I thought it would be, and I hope it is, but I wanted to know if any CCers participated in this annual event.
I really hope I get a chance to meet great people, participate actively, and
all that.</p>

<p>Eeek…I would guess not. Although Pton does host PMC, I’m sure adcoms know that participation in PMC or winning an award there isn’t a greater thing than winning one anywhere else. I doubt they’d penalize the rest of the application pool that way.</p>

<p>I found out that although you attend PMC, an event hosted by Princeton, you don’t get to visit the campus! :(</p>

<p>Yeah, isn’t it in DC? It doesn’t help at all with admissions. Sorry man.</p>

<p>pgcokie, which school do you go to? i graduated from TCIS (taejon) last year.</p>
