Is there any way to make money on self-initiated projects in the field of architecture? Landscape architecture? I really like to design/build my ideas. What career is suited for this?
If you say engineering please be specific. Thanks for reading.

There are a lot of architects who develop their own projects, particularly in the residential and small commercial field. There are not as many examples in the large commercial field, but John Portman developed almost all of his own projects (he popularized the atrium hotel, google him). You have to have a high tolerance for risk and an aggressive deal making personality, but it can certainly be done.
