<p>Are college admissions people erudite/cultured enough to understand what a “raga” or “raaga” is? In a small part of my Common App essay I talk about playing tabla and of course i put the word in context but Im not sure if i should really spell it out for the adcoms…like with a boring appositive or something. Help?</p>
