Attention Nutella lovers!!!!!

I have read over and over on this board how many of you send Nutella to your kids in care packages like it’s a “must have” staple…I confess to NEVER having this apparently delicious treat!

So today while at the store, I picked up a jar! (Scary, a message board is now dictating my grocery purchases!) Now, what to do with it???

Please share your favorite ways to partake in a spoonful of Nutella!!!

Nutella on apple slices. Yum.

I remember this as a staple on my cousins’ breakfast table in Europe in the early 1970s! My cousins spread it on toast instead of butter/jam.

I first tried Nutella as an exchange student in France. The best way to enjoy it, in my opinion, is to get a still warm baguette, break it open, slather on the Nutella and eat.

Second best, in crepes. There is just something about Nutella when it is slightly warm and gooey.

:) :)

I’ve never had it before either.

On a croissant. You will hate yourself afterwards, but it’s worth it. My daughter eats it on waffles. To be 18 again…

There is a French creperie my D and I like. They have the greatest dessert crepes…fresh strawberries with nutella, and some whipped cream. Delicious!
Try also with sliced bananas or pears.

My top favorite - on a warm baguette - has already been suggested, so I’ll offer my close second: on pretzels!

And then there’s the quickie: partaking in a spoonful of Nutella. I mean, via spoon. :D

Make a fist. Now extend the “pointer” finger out. Dip pointer finger into jar of Nutella. Lick Nutella off the finger. Repeat. :D

nutella is very delicious on a dense croissant!

Nutella with pretzels + white wine drunk from papercup by a campfire - Second best - in crepes

We first had Nutella in Italy. DD loves it on rice cakes. Somewhat defeats the purpose of the rice cakes, but … Another great taste is a peanut butter & nutella sandwich. Again, not for calorie counters, but oh so yummy. Agree w/ momof3.

Mixed into ice cream.

my kids like it on graham crackers or with pretzels

D.D never ate peanut butter, so it was nutella sandwiches every single day from preschool until middle school. I think her blood group is “chocolate”.

Wow - you guys are good!!! Looks like I’ll need another jar to try all these suggestions out!

The crepes sound heavenly! I love those new pretzel crisp things - have to dip a couple in and try it…

Keep em coming…

Well, if you want to get all fancy and stuff, here are some actual recipes! I’ve never tried them but they look good!

Nutella and peanut butter sandwich!

There is an Italian restaurant we know of that makes a dessert pizza with Nutella ‘sauce’ and banana slices.

On toasted still hot whole grain, dense bread.
