Congrats on getting accepted! I would like to know which one you guys took, and which classes/subjects (if AP). Do you think that UCLA favors IB students?

Again, congratulations!

Please use this format.
- AP/IB?: AP Chem-5 AP English Language-4
- Both available at school?: Just AP
- Courses in Junior and Senior years: Junior-AP Chem, Hon American Lit, Hon Spanish 3, Hon Pre-cal, Senior-AP Gov, AP Bio, AP Calc
- How was it?: The biggest lie you will ever hear: Senior year is easier than Junior, I would not do it again for a million bucks, enjoy Junior year
- AP vs. IB in college admissions?: I have no opinion about IB

My advice: take as many hon, ap, and/or IB as you can, but make sure you can get As in those classes, some people at my school had more hon and ap than me but they did not get into ucla and I know they had a lower uw gpa than me, I am only speaking for my school and it is really hard to find any particular reason why one person is accepted and another is denied, but I had all As, my SAT and ACT were good (on the upper end of those applying), but I think gpa is more important, also you really need to take SAT SUBJECT TESTS even if they are not specifically required
my school also limited its students to 3 hon and/or ap per year, I was able to petition for more my Junior year, but not Senior year

Hi, I’m a sophomore, white, and in the top 5% of my class (a class of about 650). I will have taken about 6 AP’s before I graduate, and all other classes as honors. I currently have a weighted 4.2-4.4 GPA (but this can easily change).

As for EC’s, I don’t really have any. There is a moderately high possibility that I will do marching band next year. For ACT, I’m pretty sure I can get at least a 27, maybe higher.

Can I get in, or at least do you have any suggestions?
