Say if, in a very good school in their state, SAT 2300+, SAT II’s 780+, has already completed 7 Ap’s(all 5), top 10% within graduating class
very few extracurricualrs or ones that don’t allow leaderhship/advancement like volunteering at a hostpital, helping out at school library
Just wondering, kind of chances do these people stand when applying to like NYU, Duke
as compared with someone with a far less academic profile but lots more ECs?</p>
<p>They have a good chance—but most kids who are applying to schools like that also have a very strong academic profile, and the schools also use the ECs to separate the kids who do nothing but study to get good grades from the kids who can get the good grades while also being involved in other time-consuming activities.</p>
<p>Your profile will work better for NYU than for Duke.</p>
