<p>I was admitted to au honor program and jhop. I know jhp is more prestigious in general but can au honors compare to jhop? I am an IR major</p>
<p>For IR, I don’t think so. Yes, IR is one of the few things American University excels at, but IR is also one of the best majors Hopkins offers, and one of the best in the country along the lines of programs in Georgetown, Princeton, and Tufts, if not better.</p>
<p>However, if you don’t think you can handle JHU, then maybe AU would be better.</p>
<p>Money could also be an issue. Also, how important is being in DC for you? I know a lot of students like the idea of being in DC, but honestly, after a few weeks at most, all the monuments will get old, and unless you have a year-round internship there, it is not really worth it.</p>
<p>At the graduate level, Johns Hopkins’ SAIS is on par with Columbia SIPA, Princeton WWS, and Georgetown Walsh with Harvard KSG, Tufts Fletcher, and the likes not far behind.</p>
<p>I believe JHU SAIS was ranked #1 or #2 behind Georgetown Walsh/SFS not too long ago in terms of graduate IR schools.</p>
<p>Yeah, JHU IR at the undergraduate level is among the most popular majors at JHU and is among the best in the country.</p>
