DC25’s GPA for EA3 was just added this morning- wondering if the December release will be 12/6 as this would follow EA1/2 trends (update GPA on portal Tuesday to Friday and then released Friday). Does anyone know?
Where do you see the gpa added ?
It was a blank/ white space before this morning- on my phone, it is now listed right above the “application type”.
Thank you. I’ll check mine soon again
Thank you. My DS25’s is still blank. A Friday decision would be great!
Yes, I think that’s what will happen! Good Luck to all! Our daughter was accepted EA2 and is totally committed to Auburn. She can’t wait!
I went to Auburn and currently have a sophomore daughter there. I was born and raised in the South, and we spend a lot of time in Auburn now. It is a completely valid question! Auburn definitely has a “culture” unlike anywhere else. It is one that appealed to my daughter and one we love, but I think it is unique to Auburn, or at least unique to the area.
I have no doubt your daughter would feel welcomed and have no problem making friends. Sororities at Auburn (and in the South in general) are a little more tricky to navigate, regardless of the “accepting and inclusive” spiel they give. Even rush for an instate student is very rough, and being OOS will put her at a disadvantage. Not to say it is impossible, but it makes an already challenging process a little more so.
Housing is hard! Register, pay fee etc ASAP and hope for the best. Find roommates who have an earlier room selection time and they can place you then, and keep an open mind about options. Honors College and being in an RLC helps a lot.
War Eagle!
My D25’s GPA also showed up yesterday. She was pushed to EA3 because school transcripts weren’t sent until Oct 16. Fingers crossed decision comes out Friday.
If GPA hasn’t shown up, does that mean not in consideration for EA3? Portal says all materials were in by 11/15.
No. Over the past 2 cycles the GPAs have populated over several days. Read back for insights on what the timing seems to indicate regarding acceptance versus deferral.
Thank you!
GPA is posted on the application, my son was supposed to be EA2 but went to EA3. So decisions for EA3 are out soon?
Great info! Thanks! I am in Wilco, too. UTK had the most students from our high school followed by Auburn. I couldn’t believe the numbers though! 30! I guess Auburn must like the school for some reason. Her graduating class had around 425 students. It’s interesting seeing where kids go from different high schools in the area and the trends at various schools. Our school had several go to Samford last year. UTK in-state came out tonight. It will be interesting to see how it went for everyone!
Hello from another Wilco mom! My sons graduated from FHS. And I noticed Samford was very popular there too.
Thanks for sharing
My Sons GPA was added. I checked yesterday morning and there was nothing, so not sure if it was added last night or this morning. QUESTION (and I apologize if this has been answered—I quickly tried scrolling back to see if I could find anything and didn’t at first glance). Do people still get a deferral if their GPA is posted? Basically, is the GPA being posted just letting me know that I will hear something soon, one way or the other?
I scrolled back yesterday and it seems like those with GPAs that posted before Friday morning were more likely to get accepted rather than deferred. Not 100% sure, but that’s my best guess! My DS has no GPA, so I think we are looking at a deferral.
stay positive! It’s only Thursday morning. I was reading back further and it looks like people gpa’s were posted as early as 5 days prior to the acceptances coming out that Friday. Assuming they let people know tomorrow evening, they are still going thru this rounds applicants!?!
Can you screenshot where the GPS is now listed? I don’t know if i am looking in the right spot or not!
Once you log into the portal, click ‘View and Edit Applicant File’
If on your phone, scroll down and GPA is listed under Entry Term Applied
If on a computer, it is listed in the white space next to Entry Term Applied and above Residency classification
