Auburn University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

My daughter accepted EA2 got a housing timeslot on 12/5. Is this a good day? I can’t find anywhere when the EA2 times start or end or how many days they are.

Our daughter got 12/3. Not sure she’s going to do a dorm, but she will still fill it out just in case.

My EA2 daughter has not received an email yet about housing. Anyone else?

My daughter EA2 OOS received Charter merit yesterday and it exactly aligned with what’s stated on the chart.

Thanks to all who post , this site has been so informative and helpful!

Make sure she is checking the Auburn email and not her regular email. Maybe someone else can chime in—it was a web-based outlook email that we figured out through the portal.

My daughter has been accepted to Auburn University fall 2025. She is concerned about being from New England.
How is it for northerners socially to make friends, join a sorority etc.
How is housing situation also

Strange question, why would you think that it could be harder for anyone to fit in at Auburn just because they are coming from a different part of the country?

Is it really strange?

Yes

She’ll be fine but there will be strain at holiday times or weekends as some may go home.

It’s not nearly a geographically diverse as Bama (likely due to lesser merit $$). Will be a lot of in state and Atlanta people but there will be some (not a ton) from the NE too. Florida and Texas will be represented.

But it’s not a diverse school - very white - moreso than others.

In the end, no matter where you go and live, meeting people is the same. Some are good at it. Some aren’t. But being from the NE won’t preclude anything.

Yes. Clearly she liked Auburn enough to apply and get admitted. Why would she be suddenly concerned about potentially not fitting in as a “northerner”? Fit is not judged based on where you come from.

We know a student from our state of Massachusetts who attend and love it. My daughter has also applied but was deferred. Have you visited yet? I also had concerns but once we did a tour and spent a few days there my daughter fell in love with the school.

Thank you
My post will be removed
I was asking what I thought was a valid question
I did not expect such negative responses

Your question was totally fine and I am glad some people were able to give you a response from personal experience. I would have the same concerns in reverse if my daughter was considering a northeastern school.

You needn’t remove. It’s fine.

It’s a completely valid question. Those of us who have moved around the country understand the concern about not being from a place and trying to figure out how to get settled in a new environment. I’m very glad you got responses saying your student could find her way.

There were about 30 kids from my daughter’s graduating high school class (2024) that attended Auburn this year. We are right outside of Nashville.

It was a valid question, no need to apologize.
I have a daughter who was admitted, we are from the Northeast, and the question crossed our minds too. To all who answered, thank you , it was helpful.

Statistically it’s about 40% OOS per Auburn but the #s below are a bit different.

So less than Bama.

Here’s the formal stats.

Alabama 17674 of 31167. So 56% most recently.

Then Ga and Florida which makes sense given the location. Then TN and TX with over 1k.

NY/NJ/CT are about 600 total vs 2k at Bama. Illinois is less than 400 at Auburn vs more than 1500 at Bama. That’s what I mean by the regionalization. I’m sure it’s all based on merit $$.

I am in Wilco. I don’t know the exact # but I don’t think more than 3 or 5 of 600 went to Auburn.

I’d say the two biggest were Bama and UTK and I’m not sure which, then MTSU and WKU.

Surprisingly many went to Lee U (10 maybe) but I suppose that is the religious bent of suburban Nashville.

30 is a lot. Auburn must love the Hs :;

Scroll way down to see by state of it doesn’t open there.

We are from the Northeast and my son was accepted. It’s one of his top choices. Perfectly valid question. Fit is very important for any student! We find Auburn to be very welcoming. My son has friends who attend.
