It seems like NYU, Penn State, and UArts still haven’t posted their audition dates. Do you know when they will do this?

For NYU, if applying RD, you cannot line up your audition date until November 1. Starting on that day, you can make your appointments. Auditions that are in NYC are throughout the month of February (many dates…most days). I suggest you line it up first thing the morning of Nov. 1(Eastern time).

Actually PSU as had the info up for some time. Here is the site and here are the dates. Good Luck!! [Welcome to Penn State’s School of Theatre](http://www.theatre.psu.edu/admissions/bfa.html)

I highly recommend that kids audition at UArts on that first December date, as UArts has rolling admissions and, in general, that means many kids who audition on that date will receive their decisions within a few weeks, allowing some to go into the winter holiday season already knowing that they are admitted! Knowing you are “in” at a good school such as UArts can really take the pressure off the rest of the audition season. Just a thought …

NMR - that is good advice. Thanks.

Also, just spoke with U. Arts and the on-line application won’t be ready till the end of this week. However, you can download the application and send it in now.

I agree with Susan’s recommendation to book your NYU audition time first thing the morning that the scheduler becomes available. They fill up very quickly.

A reminder that with UArts, you cannot schedule an audition for that school until you have filed an application (some schools do it this way and some do not…NYU doesn’t, for example).

Another school with rolling admissions is Point Park. For details about their program please read their website or go to the Point Park thread.

I hope you all noticed that the dates for PSU in post #3 above are from last year. Perhaps the web site has this year’s dates, but I didn’t want anyone planning their itinerary with the wrong dates. :)

musicmom…good to point that out!

Here is information for PSU for THIS YEAR’s AUDITION DATES:

Sorry guys- must have been sleepwalking when I posted that- thanks for the correction! I do know that last year the slots filled up quickly and they are already booking for this year. Guess I need some coffee.;')

At UArts, when you submit your application, you select the audition date as part of the application process (the text I posted in #5 is from the application). There is nothing else you need to do. You will then receive a confirmation of the date you selected. As NMR states, many students hear the results 2 weeks after their audition and, if memory serves me right, also are notified about merit scholarships at the same time.

Yes, UArts is wonderful in that they inform about scholarships so quickly.
