audition momologue for 17 year old boy

Can anyone recommend a good contemporary and/or classical monologue for a 17 year old boy? I have read that it is best to pick from a “new playwright” if possible. Does anyone know of any good ones with age appropriate material?

Look at the play “With Their Eyes” by Annie Thoms. It’s an account of the events of 9/11 from the point of view of students from a HS near the World Trade Center. My son used a monologue from it for his college auditions and it was well received. Although he did have to do a bit of “cut and paste” to get it right and for the time allotment.
