I am not an MT parent but as an acting parent I know how difficult the monologue search was for my daughter. And often kids and parents ask for audition song ideas so I thought I would share a couple of ideas. Those that have more experience than me can jump in if they think these songs aren’t appropriate.
I heard these songs last night at a symphony that Karen Olivo sang at ( won the Tony for West Side Story). She sang a couple of songs from musicals that I had forgotten about.

Come to Your Senses is a fairly popular audition song…at least it was back when my D was auditioning for college.

Calvin Berger has some great contemporary (young) songs!

My D wants to add a pop song, she is a legit soprano, any recommendations? And @bisouu she wants to add a classic monologue, any good ideas?
