Aura photo frame question

Hey all - based on some suggestions here we got my mom the Aura photo frame for Christmas. She loves it! I set it up for her ahead of time and my sister and I have been loading pictures for her.

My question - how do I make sure she is the digital “owner”? Like right now, because I set it up, my version of the app has all the controls - like for setting the speed at which photos rotate and the other settings. Or is everyone able to do that?

Is there some way to transfer ownership to her? Do I just “invite” her like I would any other person or is there some other way to do that that is unique to her?

Thank you!

Not sure I’m an expert on this, but I’ll try to help. Does your mom have the app? My MIL and I both have an Aura but 90yo MIL doesn’t have the app. D set up both frames, and in my app, under frame settings, it shows 3 members - D, SIL and me - and we can all add pictures and control the timing on both frames, so I don’t think there is one “owner”. If your mom has the app and she’s not already a member, you can just add her in frame settings.

Glad your mother likes her Aura, OctoberKate. I would just keep it as you already have it and not worry about making your mom the “owner.”

This helps! Mom doesn’t have the app yet, but when I see her this weekend I’m going to get her set up.

Thank you!

The app is really nice to have because you get notifications when new photos are added, and you can see all photos in the app on your phone or iPad. MIL has to wait until new photos show up on the frame. She has hers set to be on during all waking hours :joy: but mine is only on for 3 hours in the evening.

The notifications thing I think will be handy. I also think that, over time, she may want to get rid of old photos.

Also with the app you can add pictures and take photos out of the rotation.

How are you liking your new Aura frame?

I’m not sure if my mom has the Aura or a similar one, but she is able to do that right on the screen of the frame.

Much to my surprise I absolutely love it!! It is fun to walk in the room and see different pics every time. I’ve already added some of my own pics to the ones D and SIL pre-loaded. I think the trick will be to keep the slideshow down to a manageable number of pics – but i can do that!

I scanned physical photos using my phone’s camera, saved them to my camera roll, then uploaded them to the Aura app—worked fine and showed up clearly on the frame.
