I did an exchange… but I used it as my essay topic, on like how I became more independant and confident, also mine might have helped I think cause I self-organised it. Like it wasn’t through a program, so it showed iniative and yadda yadda yadda.

I think exchange does help cause it shows that you’re willing to put yourself in a brand new situation at a school where you know no one, and after all isn’t that what college is?

yea now i just have to work out what to do about my education and all while over there.
like i go to school over there but i am unsure of how much of that i will actually understand.

what part of swiss are you going to? theres like 4 different languages spoken depending on the area i believe lol french, italian, german and swiss dilect or something. lol
im sure it will be heaps interesting and cool.

Maths/Science Tutor

Essay: Crap. Really.
Recommendations: Didn’t see one, one was really short. Counselor’s was quite nice, I think.

Accepted to: UCLA, JHU
Rejected: HYPSM and Berkeley.

How depressing writing this out again haha. Anyway, there you go. x.x

Ha! I didn’t choose JHU. The weather scared me away as well as other things. Will I regret it, probably. Haha. But Beeish is going to be in LA with me!..if I go.

Second guessing myself now. Not sure if it’s worth the cost anymore =[ Le sigh, the complications of life.

M does stand for MIT. =) In any case, my family doesn’t qualify for fin. aid. so none for me. Which makes me wonder if the schools that accepted me did so because they wanted my money. Hmm. Need-sensitive schools accepted me, I got waitlisted at Wharton which is need-sensitive for internationals (oops, forgot this), and all the need-blind schools rejected me.

well if your family didnt qualify fin aid then being need-sensative or need-blind shouldnt matter to your application should it?
and what do you mean IF you go. are you doing a year off atm or uni in aust
so i guess you didnt get any/much aid from UCLA either?

and oh yeah i didnt think about MIT lol my bad

Haha, I meant. Need-blind schools don’t care about my money anyway, so I got chucked out straight away. Need-sensitive schools see me and go “Oh hey…look! No aid!”

Thing about UCLA, is that they offer no aid at all to OoS/International sooo…

And I’m on a year off heh. I was at Law/Engineering at UWA but left when I got my offer. Now when I consider the financials involved…I dunno. Might be better to save that money for graduate school instead.

are you asking to those whos going for this fall? or future years?
cuz then the question should be what have you been doing since graduation lol
if thats not what you’re asking ignore this post lol
