I had initially thought of applying early decision to University of Austin, but some of my friends have stated that the prestige of the college has dropped and now I’m thinking of applying ED to Virginia. But I still think Austin is the best place for me. I just can’t seem to sort it out.

<p>Do you mean the University of Texas at Austin? If so, its “prestige” has not dropped. Along with Virginia it remains a highly respected university, one of the so-called Public Ivies.</p>
<p>Virginia has EA, not ED .</p>
<p>Swimmier94–I assume you have visited both of them so you know the weather differences, town differences, overall feel of the universities… Both are fine choices so go with your gut and where you think you fit best. Be sure if your original choice of majors doesn’t work out (you change your mind) that both have a good fall back for you.</p>
