enderkin, I was able to open the link a few minutes after it had been posted. I noticed some “paulheads” left nasty comments in the “discuss the article” space - may be the server was hacked into ;)?

The Paul people have shut down and overload TNR’s server. That’s just wrong. However, this just confirms what I knew all along. Any and all conservative Republicans are god-damn bigots. The thing is that in our society we don’t accept outright racism so people veil it by voting for conservative Republicans.

I think if Paul took all his excess money remaining for the campaign and donated it to black charities and bowed out of the race that would be the optimal solution.

gottaloveucla: Are you actually concerned by the fact that every time you make a post like that you look more and more like a completely partisan, frothing-at-the-mouth anti-Republican idiot? Does that at all concern you?

I know I would be worried at completely destroying my credibility, but maybe you aren’t.

For the record, I agree with a lot of the stuff that you say, but sometimes you really, really, really need to tone it down, because your incredibly ridiculous proclamations often overshadow the substance of your arguments.

As for the actual issue, I’m not impressed by Paul’s handling of this. But then, I never really was. I don’t think it shows him to be racist, but I do think it shows an unnerving lack of concern for issues of real import to a lot of people.

Based on what we learned from TNR, I think Ron Paul is either a racist through-and-through, or one of the worst judges of character ever to run for President. This guy was likely his best friend and closest confidant.
