Authors like Albom

Hi, recently I read Albom’s The Five People you meet in heaven and Tuesdays with Morrie, I thought they were REALLY good books, and am looking for similar authors or similar books. Any suggestions?

nicholas sparks is pretty similar in that he writes emotionally charged books. as far as character development and detailed imagery/description[and don’t murder me for this] Stephanie meyer’s books are really detailed, but that’s just my opinion.
btw, i love alboms books too =] ‘for one more day’ by him is amazing too

Is there a specific book by Nicholas Sparks that you can suggest?

Let’s see, of course ‘a walk to remember’ and ‘the notebook’ [way better than the movies] ‘dear john’ is really sad, as the title would suggest but really good. happy reading! there are plenty more like ‘the choice’ and ‘the wedding’ but i have not read them yet so i can’t share my opinion on those.

Dan Millman’s Peaceful Warrior books are excellent. I wouldn’t recommend Nicholas Sparks. It’s emotionally rewarding but not in the same sense as Albom.

I was also going to suggest Sparks. Also, Jodi Piccoult (My Sister’s Keeper) may be of interest to you. These emotionally-charged type of books aren’t my favorite.
