Average golf tournament results for ivies?

to be competitive as a recruit, what should one expect to shoot in tournaments? around 76? also, how much does it help with admission?

Depends on the size and competition of the tournament. A 76 average would not be bad for an AJGA tourny where they are playing it a 7000+ yards and PGA tour conditions, while it is unimpressive for your local public course that is hosting a local junior tour even.

Ivies are D1, generally you need to be a scratch golfer at a minimum to be considered a D1 prospect. You should be able to shoot under par rounds in national level events on a decent regular basis and 76 would be considered a “high” score. It is VERY competitive and the courses and yardages are much harder than you are likely to see playing junior tournaments unless they are national level AJGA type events.

^^ If you look at the scores of the ivy league championship and compare it to the scores of NCAA championship they will not even look close. For Ivys and other top level D3s 76 will get you looked at by coaches.

i believe that if you can consistently score below 75 in big tournaments and have great grades you can get recruited by ivies and some other d1 conferences.
