What would you say is the average GPA of a Stanford Freshman/a good GPA to strive too…does everyone get As because I am not and its really affecting my morale

No, not everyone gets A’s. I have spoken to many freshmen… including myself… who did not get all A’s their freshman year! Please don’t worry.

If you meant that you don’t think you’re going to get ANY A’s, that’s okay too. Just aim high and do the best you can. There are many resources to improve your grades, like study groups, the Center for Teaching and Learning, TA and professor office hours, and more. Remember, there are lots of people who get B’s, C’s, and maybe worse in nearly every class. If that’s you, you’re not alone, and it doesn’t have to stay that way forever.

i’ve never been on a +/- system so what number grade does a B+, A-. etc. refer to? is 86-90 is a B+ or something?

It’s kind of however the professor feels like curving it. To be totally strict, B+ is 87-89, A- is 90-92… something like that.

celestial thank you soooo much because the culture of stanford is getting me but ill take ur advice to heart
